Celebrate good times

Deb Runs

I am happy to provide you with your earworm of the day.

I’m sure I won’t be the only one going there.

It has not been the best year. But that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been things to celebrate, too:

  • Running 3 halfs with no injuries
  • 2 of those halfs were PRs
  • Chester is still here when I seriously thought more than once it might be time
  • I am healthy
  • My parents are healthy (for almost 90-yr-olds)
  • We have a roof over our heads and more than enough food to eat

And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the things that aren’t going right in our lives. Which is why it’s so important to celebrate the things that are good .

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.

What are you celebrating today?

    1. Oddly enough I didn’t have a good day & was definitely in a mood when my husband got home. Animals throwing up everywhere (except Chester); tech problems. But even today there were a few bright spots.

  1. I love the Oprah quote and thought about using it myself. I’ve also been singing the song for about a week (when I saw the word for this week). Let’s celebrate our health and our privilege and choice to be active women! So many opt out!

  2. Great perspective! I find that as long as things are good in the moment, I can forget how tough things were just a few days/weeks/months ago. I guess that kind of memory loss can work to my advantage.

  3. I agree with you so much! It is so, so easy to get caught up in all of the bad things in the world and the negative things in our lives. But without ignoring those things, I think you can also choose to focus on the good and remember that you still have blessings and reasons to be thankful.
