Lucky 13 today. I’m not overly superstitious, but I was wearing the same skirt as ZOOMA Annapolis & that one didn’t go so well.
But first, let’s look at the workouts leading up to the race.
So because I’ll be traveling a lot in the next few months, but “wrapped” up with family business too, follow me on Instagram to find out what shenanigans I’m up to. I’m wrapping it up with the Weekly Wrap from Holly @ Hohoruns and Tricia @ Misssipppiddlin because you just never know who you might inspire.

Running updates
Wednesday
Bell Rock was within walking distance of our hotel. We headed there in the morning. I tried to run but it was rocky and steep so there was more walking than running & what running there was was slow.
But it was so beautiful I didn’t care!
Thursday
I took it much easier and stuck to the roads (mostly downhill), with frequent photo stops and some strides thrown in at the end.
Sunday
Craft Classic Phoenix. A class act. I had a great race. Definitely tough, but the tough is what makes it great.
Favorites of the week
Sedona. I’ve wanted to come here forever and I wasn’t disappointed.
Today I finished my 13th half marathon (thank you Deborah @ Confessionsofamotherunner for the entry) & state 11. Awesome race especially for an inaugural one. It was tough but good. You understand.
AZ you were good to me but it’s time to head home & move my parents.
And that’s a wrap
Let’s get the conversation started:
Best vacation?
Are you superstitious?
Do you chat up runners at the start (I do!)?
Congratulations Judy!! Well done!!
Sedona is one of my favorite places… so spiritual!

Best vacation??? That’s a tough one. St Croix for my honeymoon, hiking Bryce & Zion, Palm Springs, several of my florida trips, Domenican Rep, Jackson Hole, Wy.
Never been to Sedona. Would love to someday.
Not superstitious.
My bib was 113 and I got my PR. So lucky 13 I guess.
Congrats on a successful race.

Ah, so you HAVE hiked before this summer.
I’m surprised Paris didn’t make the list!

That hiking was in 2004. I love Paris but haven’t been since 2000.

The dessert colors are so interesting!!! Incredible pics Judy! Congrats on the race – love your finish line picture ๐ beautiful. I actually chatted a little at my race – I am getting better lol I am usually way to introverted. Good luck with your parents.

I always thought that’s where my half in AZ would be until this opportunity happened. As tough as this race was, I think Sedona would have been tougher. But I loved it there & hope to go back someday.

What pretty pictures. It looks like a wonderful trip and you definitely deserved that break. Oddly, nobody around me was chatting in the corral in Chicago. Nerves maybe? I’m so happy to hear you had a great race experience and look forward to hearing the details. I hope all is well with your parents! Thanks for linking, Judy!

It was stunning. Funny story: my iPod screen was completely black taking some of those photos. Couldn’t tell what was actually in the frame. Which just shows you how beautiful it is there.

We had been to Phoenix several times-almost ended up moving there – but nowhere else in AZ. Loved, loved, loved Sedona.

Beautiful pics ๐ I have to say I’m completely jealous ๐ Did a duathlon race in the middle of England on Sunday in pouring rain and just below 10 degrees C, it was horrible. Never enough blue skies in this country ๐ x
