Hoping this was the last big storm — and by big, I mean the biggest storm of the Winter. More branches came down, but the fence held, and so did our power (although many were not that lucky).

I’m joining Kim @ Kimrunsonthefly and Deborah @ Confessionsofamotherrunner and another decent week of fitness with two runs outside despite the big snow.

Running Update
Tuesday intention: finish Peloton program — 30 minutes running straight?
Nope, I didn’t make it thirty minutes straight, but overall it was about 3 treadmill miles, as a Nor’Easter pummeled us most of the day. This run felt kind of hard but I got it done.

Thursday intention: take it easy
Didn’t have great sleep. Not sure why. I was kind of dragging. Nixed the grocery shopping I’d planned on, but I did get out for a nice easy run (just one slightly icy patch once I made it through the massive ice at the end of the driveway) and it was a glorious day.

Saturday intention: take it easy, see what the body wants
It was a fairly nice day again. Again not stellar sleep (although I know why this time), but not as bad as earlier in the week. No big goals; I even thought about just doing 2 miles. I threw pickups in the second mile (and it was the slowest mile, sigh). I know I’ll “pick up” the pace eventually.
So glad I did this run yesterday, as there’s a dusting of snow this morning — mean black ice is lurking around after yesterday’s warm up.

Favorites of the week
Birdsong. A bit more sun — after the Nor’Easter, that is. No need for the generator. Otherwise is a relatively quiet week while I just caught up with a lot of stuff I wanted to get done.

ICYMI: Time to show your low back some love — while connecting body and mind. Practice with me here. Looking for a quickie? I’ve got a vlog explaining the Koshas with a short 5 minutes to calm practice here, too.
Coming up on Friday: No plans (even though I have some things to say!) . . .
Wow you got a lot of snow this week! Sounds like it was a more relaxing and laid back week for you. Have a great one ahead too

Thanks, Deborah. I hope everything goes well with your tests.

I’m glad you didn’t have to go visit your mom during all of that bad weather. That just adds another layer of stress to an already stressful situation. Hang in there, spring is coming… eventually.

LOL we are supposed to see a warmup this coming week & hopefully the snow will finally go! I don’t go to my moms in bad weather unless there’s an emergency!

Winter sure is going out with a bang! Boo to all the snow in your neck of the woods, while we’ve melted most of ours, I did not appreciate the single digit temps this week, complete with high winds and sub-z chills. Enough already. Glad your power and fence held up!

We’re getting the cold & wind today. It’s why I planned my run for yesterday!

Wow, I’m glad you didn’t lose power! March only has a couple more weeks to go out like a lamb for you… fingers crossed this was your last big snowstorm.
I can see you slowly but surely increasing those running miles! And as always, I love the photos.

Yup, no need to rush right now. I’d like to get in one half this year but haven’t picked it yet. Obviously I’m far away from half ready at the moment!

What is up with winter this year? Overall, it’s been pretty mild (compared to years past), but it’s really making a statement in recent weeks! Glad you didn’t have too much damage to deal with.

Ours was somewhat mild, too, although with all the snow this month we’re not too far behind on normal snow amounts. Never count MN out. 🙂

Tough weather week. We didn’t lose power either.
Super cold and windy today. Tough day to spectate

Same up here. Yes, it would be hard to spectate in. We even had a snow squall this afternoon.

The last big storm that blew through here blew out our power! And I’ve noticed that my hubs has put up more boards to hold up our fence. Keeping it classy around here!

LOL, but you need the fence! Very grateful to have power (today, too, which is extremely windy & cold).

I think it pro will be the last big one. We can get snow in April, too, but by then it’s usually warmer & melts quicker.

Today is the first day of Spring so hopefully that means no more snow and ice (fingers crossed)

Looking at the forecast there might be more snow (here) but probably won’t accumulate. So now we can complain about the rain. 🙂

I can’t believe how much snow you got! We got almost NONE this year, except a dusting while I was in San Diego.

None? Really? Wow. It was a relatively mild winter here, but there was definitely quite a few snow storms even so.
