I spent time working on this post yesterday, I really did. Because tomorrow is Yom Kippur and I want to be off the computer. Sometimes I hate WordPress, I really do — because it completely stripped out everything I did yesterday.

I’m joining Kim @ Kimrunsonthefly and Deborah @ Confessionsofamotherrunner and running through rainy Mondays.

Running Update

Monday intention: remind the feet to go faster
I ran in the ride. I did strides. No PRs this week. That is all.

Thursday intention: go long-er
I dropped off Bandit at the vet and then did my long run. Beautiful day but I was slow. Finished, went home, and had to quickly change to go pick up Bandit. We’re still waiting for the results from that ultrasound. I’ve felt oddly calm about it, but I was still completely wiped out after this run — and the next day too.

Sunday intention: recover
After a day of mostly resting, I did feel much better. Decided to wait until today — Saturday was supposed to be rainy (it really wasn’t). This morning wasn’t either, so I go out and did long hill repeats. Which is running up a short hill, around to the larger hill, back down the larger hill, around to the shorter hill and so on. It’s easier than doing regular hill repeats. A decent run and no rain.

Favorites of the week
Since he’d already had BBQ and a lobster, Mr. Judy chose an all you can eat sushi restaurant for his birthday meal — probably because he could get in free on his birthday, and it only cost $18.50 for me. We hadn’t been there before. Not as good as our favorite sushi place, but it was tasty.
We’d picked up Bandit’s pre-ulstrasound sedative on the way there. Speaking of Bandit, he was a very good boy for that ultrasound.
I’d been mentioning to Mr. Judy that we haven’t seen our albino squirrel in a while, not since the Spring, and lo and behold Albie made an appearance yesterday. We also saw the groundhog from next day this week — it’s been so long since we saw here, we seriously thought she was gone.

ICYMI: Welcome Fall by releasing tension in your neck, upper back, shoulders, and wrists; you’re welcome — click here for the video (live at 8 am).
Coming up next Week: Just Runfessions, or is it time for a hot beverage on the side? WRD too, of course.
Happy birthday to your husband. Lots of rainy days here too but looking forward to cooler air moving in. Have a great week!

Thanks, Deborah! We’re going to be in the mid 40s in the mornings a few times next week (supposedly).

I’m sorry you’re still so knocked out. 😦 Good luck getting back to work! At least you don’t have to go somewhere.

We had some rain here as well, and a lot of it came on the morning I had to run a few errands (how timely, LOL). Looks like a nice bday dinner for Mr. Judy 😉

We are STILL waiting to hear. More than a week later. Guess it can’t be too dire then. I’ve been calling, they say they’ll call . . . crickets.

I love your long yoga sessions… I want to add longer sessions into my routine again, but I’ll wait until after my HM when things calm down a bit on my workout schedule 🙂
I hope the results from Bandit’s ultrasound come back with good news.
Also, an albino squirrel? That’s cool – I’ve never seen one.

Yes, the albino squirrels are not common here, but I’ve seen 2 in 2 different places & apparently another one was spotted somewhere else recently.

Glad Bandit behaved for his ultrasound and the hubs had a nice birthday. Hopefully you get good results. We’re taking Cocoa back to UW for here follow up with the dermatologist. Good thing because she’s got some weird fungus growing on her skin. Since i know enough to be dangerous, I’m going to start treating it…it’s like ringworm…

Wow, I haven’t heard of a restaurant that gives adults a free birthday meal — that’s pretty cool. I had sushi for lunch today. 🙂
Glad Bandit did OK for his ultrasound. Hope the results are good news.

There was a sushi buffet restaurant in alas Vegas where I think they offered the same — I know they offered something worthwhile on your birthday and I managed to be there once for that! It was a much better buffet.

Still waiting on ultrasound results. Seriously if Bandit didn’t like it there I’d switch vets.
