It was a another week, LOL! Actually a much better week (if we don’t talk about current events, and I don’t plan to), but it was busy and full on juggling mode again.
Another week low on running, but more than last week. I ended both Thursday and Friday with an incredibly low body battery (and didn’t sleep well Thursday, either). But I made it through and enjoyed some of the beauty of nature!
I could have run today, and it’s beautiful, but I want to run tomorrow and I’m still recharging from the week.

I’m joining Kim @ Kimrunsonthefly and Deborah @ Confessionsofamotherrunner and still putting one foot in front of the other.

Running Update

Tuesday intention: remind the feet to go faster
I didn’t run Monday because I’d done my “long-er” run on Sunday — and it had been a week since I’d run previously. So strides happened on Tuesday today. As I tried to get the opening of my sleeve positioned over my watch before starting strides, I inadvertently hit the Save button.
Never fear, while annoyed in the moment, I also got interesting information from having to start a new run for the last half mile. My strides were a tad under 100m, not 200m (not that it made a difference to me!). I can run almost 8 mm for 100m (and then I walk, LOL).

Thursday intention: go long-er
I contacted a friend and asked if she wanted to meet me at Saratoga Spa State park (after my run). She said yes. It was actually a pretty good run, but there were many photo stops. We then walked around, trying to find some trails, finding a short one to a small waterfall (with what looked like a squatter living there — creepy — I still need to try to contact the park somehow; I was glad I wasn’t alone!).
Then we enjoyed a yummy lunch. Mr. Judy was out at the same time, so Bandit was very anxious by the time I got home.

Favorites of the week
As you may have seen if you follow me on Facebook, I enjoyed two pretty short explorations going to and from my mom on Friday. One place I’ve visited several times, and the other I’d driven past but never stopped at before — but I’ll definitely be back! Another very tiring day.

Actually he wasn’t suspicious, he seemed terrified of it. After a few hours he got the hang of it. Now I don’t have to hold his water all the time and pick it up when I’m not there to supervise. He still coughs, but it’s not as bad.
Has the vet called me with Bandit’s results? I’ll let you guess.

ICYMI: Feel as though you don’t take in enough oxygen? This practice will encourage you to really open up your lungs! — click here for the video (live at 8 am).
Coming up next Week: Just WRD. Hoping for some more leaf peeping, but Mr. Judy has jury duty.
I assume the results were good since you didn’t post. Good news.
Happy our weather has been nice to get all the miles done.
My hikes has been local but hopefully tomorrow I’ll drive somewhere.

The vet has still not deigned to call. Next Thursday it will be a month.

That park is gorgeous and looks like a nice place for a refuge on a stressful week

It sure is. I run so much in my neighborhood these days, a change of scenery is always great.

I’m guessing you still haven’t heard from the vet. That’s so unacceptable. I’m sorry. Looks like you’re getting some lovely fall colors. I’ve never heard of a slow-drink bowl but I’m glad Bandit is getting the hang of it.

Well he’s still randomly coughing but at least it sort of seems better. He’s totally into his new water bowl now.

No way on the vet! I bet they’d be calling if your check bounced. 😉
I’ve not heard of a slow drink bowl before. Scooby has a spiral food dish to slow his eating.
I am a strong believer in photo stops on my runs — that fall display and the foliage are gorgeous!

LOL on a bounced check. I don’t actually remember the circumstances, but years ago when I was having trouble getting a company to do something, I sent them a bill for my time. And they paid it! Don’t think that’s happening here.
My brother’s dog also has a bowl designed to stop him from wolfing down his food.

Such beautiful pics, Judy! Our leaves are just starting to turn here. I have never heard of (or seen) a slow drink bowl…I guess that’s a good thing (?). Have a nice week 😉

The slow drink is good when they just gulp their water — that can cause coughing or actually throwing up the water!
Our leaves are beginning to pop. I think this is the week!

While our leaves haven’t caught up, the weather sure feels like fall! I’ve enjoyed some fall here in the Canadian Rockies as well. We even had some snow up in the higher elevations. Eeek!
Have you called the vet? Maybe they’ve forgotten to call you back.

Higher elevations can have snow year round sometimes! Even some of our mountains, which aren’t that tall, you’ve got to watch your fall weather. Loving your photos!
I’ve called the vet 6 times so far (one of those times they were closed). I pretty much get the same somfy& dance each time.
I contacted the cardiologist, who did get a copy. He wasn’t comfortable talking about it but did let me know there’s nothing very serious going on.
We’re not in their monthly plan, and I hope they don’t treat you differently if you don’t sign up for it. IDK. I’m mad, but it’s hard to get vet appointments here. Some aren’t taking new customers. But we’ve been going there 8 years!

it looks beautiful there! All that natural beauty hopefully counteracts the stress. Glad Bandit is doing well and likes his new bowl.
I guess if Mr. Judy has jury duty this week, you’ll be on Bandit duty! Hope you get in some good runs and hikes.

Lovely autumn pictures, thank you. One of the trees I can see from my office is turning, I haven’t been to the local parks for a bit but the parkrun park is getting there.

You’re welcome! I didn’t miss Fall when we lived in TX, but I celebrate it here. 😊

Fall is, indeed, pretty. Not sure what will happen if predicted rain cones in this weekend, but we’ve had some breaks in the rain recently.

Ugh. what is up with this vet??? I’m sorry 😦
Your photos from this week are beautiful. I wish we had some glorious leaves changing colors, but that’s now how it works here. Womp womp.

Trust me I will be totally envious of you in the Winter.
I didn’t miss the changing leaves when we lived in TX (although there’s a bit of color there), but since I’m here, I definitely do my best to enjoy them!
Of course that day at my mom, I left the house at 9:30 am and got back after 6 pm. And I didn’t spend a whole lot of time at either place I visited. That’s the down side.
