Pull up a chair and mug with Coco and Deborah and me and a bunch of bloggers for the first ultimate coffee tea date in 2021. I know we’re all crossing our fingers that 2021 will be a much, much better year. I definitely feel I’m overdue for a good year.

I’d tell you Mr. Judy never seems to believe me, like the time I told him some states you can register to vote on election day — 19, in fact, and the District of Columbia — or the time I told him my Tracfone app said I have 40,000 minutes left on my plan. He was so sure I meant 4000, but nope, 40,000 is what the app said.
Out of curiosity I asked Alexa how many hours 40,000 minutes is: 666. We almost died laughing when we heard that! Yes, it’s a glitch in the app, I don’t have quite that much time.

I’d tell you the story behind the scarf in the photo above, since I got a lot of admiring comments on it. Many years ago, while we were still living in TX, I tagged along on a business trip to Paris with Mr. Judy. A week in Paris? Yes please!
I had a lot of fun traipsing all over Paris, mostly on my own, since Mr. Judy was working. One day I took a walking tour of Montmarte, which turned out great, because it ended at Sacre Coeur Cathedral in such a way that you don’t have to climb up all the steps (if you’ve been, you know what I’m talking about).
There just happened to be a craft fair around the outside of the cathedral that day, and that’s where I bought the scarf. I don’t wear it often because it’s not very long, but I was so glad I wore it in the photo above because it was in the 30s that morning and quite cold hiking around Olana!

I’d tell you that the infrared patio heater I bought for Mr. Judy for his birthday back in September, the one that Lola enjoyed so much in her last few weeks . . . I’m enjoying it right now. I’ve got it next to the recliner I usually sit in at night when we watch tv, and you better believe I’ve been basking in its glow! Supposedly there are a lot of health benefits to infrared heat, such as:
- Improve blood circulation and skin complexion.
- Strengthens cardiovascular system.
- Improve detoxification.
- Wound healing.
- Relaxation and pain/aches management.
- Immunity boosting.
- Cancer support.
I’m not sure this heater does all that, but it does feel nice.

I’d tell you when I got the humidifier from Doterra I’d ordered (which you can put essential oils in), I immediately showed it to Mr. Judy, although it wasn’t yet Hannukah. He’d been talking about buying a humidifier for years. He promptly showed me the humidifier he’d bought.

I’d tell you don’t worry, the house is more than big enough for two humidifiers. Mr. Judy has his running 24/7 and he’s having to fill it every day. I only run the one in the bedroom for a couple of hours before bed, so it lasts a few days. I use lavender essential oil in there and have definitely noticed I sleep better when I run it.

We have a humidifier on our furnace, so there’s no need for a separate unit. But I may buy a diffuser for lavender oil. I need help with sleep!!

I also use a rollerball with lavender oil on the so,es of my feet & the back of my neck. I don’t tun the bedroom diffuser at night, since we have to keep the door almost closed otherwise it’s too bright. Just in case Bandit didn’t like it, even though it’s good for him too.

We have a big humidifier in the bedroom too which helps tremendously. The built in one in the furnace doesn’t cut it.I kind of like the idea of the diffuser in there but not sure the hubs would go for that. So glad you are loving your infrared heater. I used to to this infrared sauna and stretch place for the same benefits. Cannot wait to go back there when it’s safe to do so! I used to love it. Love the scarf story!

There’s a place so close with an infrared sauna. It’s open, but not the sauna I think — wouldn’t do that even if it was open right now.

Oh, wow, I’ve never seen an infrared heater. One of the Corepower studios had infrared heat and it was really neat – the room didn’t feel warm, but you did! My husband is a good gift giver, but sometimes he gets “me” things he wants. Happy New Year!

One of the yoga studios I went to had infrared heat too (although sometimes it was VERY hot).
I was so chilled after my run today I put it on. It feels amazing. I got it on Amazon. I truly did buy it with pMr. Judy in mind! He’s happy it’s getting some use.

I commented early this am but it didn’t post for some reason.
We rarely exchange gifts though I do buy my hubby stuff (and then buy my own gifts).
You inspired me to order a room humidifier…. a MUCH cheaper one than do-Terra and you can also add essential oils.
Our hot tub and fireplace is a Godsend in the winter. Esp since I go outside and run or walk a lot even when it is cold and windy.
I bought myself a massage gun and my hubby uses it more than I do.

I didn’t pay full price for the Doterra humidifier. Essential oils can be tricky, there’s a lot of not so great ones out there. There’s a new company I want to try but I never seem to get around to it.
I’m sitting with the heater on me; bathroom is warming up (ceramic heater) & I’m still chilled from my run this morning.

I thought it was nice this am. First day this week without awful wind.
Actually not into essential oils. But it comes with the humidifier. I most likely will use it in the room I work. Spend more time there than in my bed.

It was nice until the clouds took over. Then it got really cold. If I hadn’t dragged my feet it would’ve been great the whole run!

Here in South Africa, they have some great handcrafted items with vibrant colours, such as candles, bags, mugs, etc. I should take a few photos and add them to a post.

As I told Darlene, I didn’t pay the retail price for that humidifier. I do enjoy that I can put essential oils in it. You just have to be careful because EOs & plastics aren’t a great combo, although oddly it is plastic. I’m enjoying it anyway.

Well, that scarf is simply gorgeous, and the fact that there’s a great story behind it makes it all the better. I’d love an infrared heater like that since I’m always cold. We have some kind of a space heater in our family room, though, and I’m usually snuggled up on the loveseat under a blanket (with Max right beside me). Last year, I got Barb a hat with a built-in headlamp…and she’d gotten me the exact same one (but a different color).

You got me to thinking about humidifiers. We have one attached to our gas furnace that heats the main level and basement, but don’t have one attached to our upstairs heat pump. We’ve lived in this house 19 years and that never dawned on me until today. We probably should get a humidifier for our bedroom…

What a fun story that scarf has. I’ve been to that market at the base of Sacre Coeur! I have a pair of leather pants I bought in Florence a billion years ago that continue to hang in the basement closet. The kids used to kids at me. Apparently now leather pants are back in so now I’m looking pretty cool to have “vintage” leather pants. Haha! I love the idea of a humidifier/diffuser. I’m diffusing oils constantly

Ha! I had to laugh when I read that Mr. Judy sometimes doesn’t believe you. Bill does the same thing to me! 40,000 phone minutes??? I wish!
No wonder that scarf is beautiful. It comes from Paris! I think there was an art/craft fair when we were there outside the cathedral too.
Bill bought me lavender pillow spritz to help me sleep better. I like the idea of a humidifier much better.

My husband and I have purchased similar gifts for each other in the past. Now we’re a little more clear with our hints!
