I know it’s been a minute, and I’m just maintaining a very small base, but we’ve always got something to runfess, #amiright?
I runfess . . .
I realized I’d been really slacking on my post run stretches, so I’ve gotten back after it. It really doesn’t have to take long at all, but that little bit can make a difference.
I runfess . . .
After I wrote the above, I realized after I got into the bathroom for my shower post run on Thanksgiving that I hadn’t stretched after my run. So I just did it in our very small bathroom. Runners gotta do what runners gotta do.
I runfess . . .
I’m obviously not running much at the moment, but I swear, between getting dressed, warming up, cooling down, getting Bandit walked in there some days (when Mr. Judy can’t do it), and showering it feels like it takes the whole day!
I runfess . . .
My left wrist started to bother me. When I was a kid I had some really bad tendonitis in it, but it hasn’t bothered me much in decades. Since I also haven’t been doing that much ST (or sun salutations), my best guess is that I tighten up my Garmin watchband before I run. Could it be compressing the nerves in my wrist too much? I really don’t know, but I’ve let it be looser.
It’s just a pain in the colder weather because it gets pushed down and I can’t see it at all. I only need to see it when I hit each mile so I can sip some water, but is it becoming a literal pain? Too soon to tell. Filed under the weird things that happen to runners!
I hikefess . . .
On my most recent visit to my mom, I printed out a trail map of the preserve I wanted to visit (and then left in the car, of course). For some reason it wanted to print 4 copies — which I changed! When I told Mr. Judy he joked that with my poor sense of direction, the printer thought I might need some help. But I didn’t!
Do you get lost easily?
Do you have a weird place you stretch?
What do you have to runfess from November? Come join us
I am also linking up with:

I have 45 minutes at lunch. So zero stretching pre or post. It is what it is and at least I don’t have to run in the dark.
I have a horrible sense of direction. I don’t know what I did before a gps. Wait I didn’t hike. I don’t own a printer lol. I screen capture often.

Screen captures tend to be too small. But this place was very well marked. No problem, just not much time as usual.

Finding time to stretch can be challenging! I’ve been good about taking 10-15 minutes to stretch at night while watching TV- until this week. I haven’t done it for the last several nights. Thanks for the reminder!

I’m good about Yoga but it’s just so easy to want to go on to something after a cold run — like that nice hot shower!

I agree that a short stretch can do wonders. Usually, I stretch after my shower but I look forward to it

I like to do it as soon as I get home — if I get distracted it’s far less likely to happen. But obviously that doesn’t always happen either!

Ha! I have ZERO sense of direction! If it’s a cloudy day (hence no sun to point me south), it can get scary, LOL.

Oh, you’re supposed to look at the sun, LOL?!

I do my very minimal stretching outside, behind the house when I return from my run. When I was a more serious runner I’d repair to the pain cave for a full stretch session and foam roll. That never happens anymore. Hope your wrist niggle fades away quickly.

In winter I definitely prefer stretching inside!

I’m good at stretching after a tread run, but after running outside I often forget. I’ve been known to stretch in the shower ….
LOL on the maps. I have a pretty good sense of direction driving, but definitely need a map for hiking.

It was Verwoerd that it wanted to print so many of the same page. I was glad I checked it!

Aw. You do what you have to do is right!
And I have a pretty good sense of direction. I will get turned around from time to time, but I usually find my way again.

I always find my way (except that one time in ME).

I have a good sense of direction and can quickly tell when I’ve gotten turned around. Things just feel “off” to me. I think it’s because I pay super-close attention when I’m out, which is something I’ve done since I was a child. Funny thing is my daughter has zero sense of direction and I joke that she’d get lost in a cardboard box.

That is funny about your daughter but then she is her own person. Still at times I’ve had to correct my husband, who generally has a much better sense of direction than I do.
