It’s nice to share, isn’t it? Especially when it’s things you love!

I’m linking up with My First 5K and More, Running With Attitude, Runs with Pugs, Zenaida and Run Laugh Eat Pie for Fit Five Friday. I’ve got 5 things I’m loving lately to share today.
1: Mahanarayan Oil
I’d been using some oils from Banyan Botanicals for a while, then one day read about Mahanarayan Oil, which they make. I don’t find it really does much for joints, although I use it to massage my feet in the morning — but boy, any time I have a muscle ache this is da bomb!
You can buy it here (Amazon Affiliate link). I bought the smallest bottle, by the way, but I couldn’t generate a link for it; the link is to a larger bottle. I’ve been using it for 2 months, so a little goes a long way.

2: Self massage
I have taken to doing some self massage before showering these days (see one of my new favorite oils above). That’s part of my solution for no longer getting massages (someday I will!). It really is so relaxing (and good for your health!). Mr. Judy also gives me the occasional back rub, and never asks for one in return. I massage my feet each morning.
3: The gift that keeps on giving
That would be my husband’s 60th birthday gift — remember that infrared outdoor patio heater? Well, it never really got used outside; too awkward to take in and out, not to mention the amazing amount of rain we had last Summer. Not to fear, I sit with it warming me almost every day of the Winter. I didn’t buy it for myself — except in the end, apparently I did.

4: The other gift that keeps on giving
Several years ago my husband gave me a towel warmer. I love that thing so much! I use it to warm the towels, sure. I also use it to warm my clothes so I can change into nice warm clothes. Or to finish drying something that didn’t completely dry in the dryer.

5: An early birthday present
I only buy from Etsy once in a blue moon (my last purchase was at least a year ago) but I bought myself a couple of crystals that I totally love, and they threw in an extra small geode.
Final Thoughts
I admit I have a love/hate relationship with February. It tends to be the worst month of the Winter, but it’s my birthday, and I embrace birthdays. Why not celebrate? It feels better to celebrate than to feel depressed. Sometimes it’s just the little things, like a nice foot massage.
Anything you’re loving lately to share?
Do you think you’d enjoy doing a foot massage (or at least your feet would enjoy it)?
Super list Judy. Happy Birthday from a fellow February folk; my birthday was on the 8th. Keep on running and keep on inspiring!

I’m intrigued by the Mahanarayan oil – do you like it better than Deep Blue? Does it have a scent?

I don’t really notice a scent with the oil, and it absorbs pretty quickly. I’m sure it does have some sort of scent, there are herbs in the oil.
Yes, I actually do like it better than deep blue! It worked on muscle strains SO quickly — for me anyway. And it absorbs quicker, too.
I’ve been massaging my feet with this oil for a while now when I first get up, and that seems to make my feet happy, too. But where it really shines, for me, is muscle soreness.

Funny you mentioned foot massage. My hubby got me a gift certificate a few years ago for a foot massage. Never used it.
But different things work for different people.
I hate being cold so my hot tub and fireplace were two essentials I needed when we bought our house.
My latest love is today running in a tank and skirt and being sweaty.
Happy early birthday in case I forget to post on Monday.

Thank you. Well, I do get sweaty running even in Winter (which is why I get so chilled afterward).
My dealbreaker when we moved here was a double garage — and they aren’t actually that easy to find here!

I’ve always had a double garage. Thought that was normal. But we needed an extra large one since my hubby has a truck.

It is decidedly NOT normal in this area. It really limited outer choices.

I do like it when someone else massages my feet. I use one of those foot rollers often and really like how it feels. Those oils are intriguing never used them.

People are so funny. Some people are just creeped out by the thought of massage! I’ve loved it since my first one.
But who can afford it every day? I really look forward to my self massages now!

Yes, February is a tough month up north. Sounds like you’re doing everything you can to make it better though- massage, lots of warmth, crystals… you just need some chocolate and you’ll be all set! Happy Birthday Month!

There’s always chocolate. Every day. 🙂

Happy early birthday!
In the latest years February was the worst winter month here but this year it seems to be already in spring!
The towel warmer sounds very useful.

Thank you! We are most definitely not in Spring yet, and even though tomorrow and Monday are going to be frigid again, this Winter hasn’t been too bad. Yet. It ain’t over yet though.
The towel warmer is very nice! Today I came home from my run, changed into my nice toasty clothes, and then went back out to shovel some more.

I hope this birthday month is amazing. I love your crystals, and I especially love that towel warmer. I could get behind that!

It’s also my birthday month (24th)! I’ve often thought about getting a towel warmer. There’s nothing better than wrapping a warm towel around you when it’s cold. Maybe I should buy myself an early birthday present!

I absolutely love that towel warmer. Sometimes in winter I just warm my non running clothes up on it. Feels wonderful!
